Xiaomi recently hosted an exciting announcement event in Barcelona, where they launched their latest offerings, including the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphones, the Watch S1 Pro smartwatch, and the Buds 4 Pro TWS earpods. We were fortunate enough to get our hands on both flagship gadgets, each representing their respective categories.
The Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro comes in a single size with a 46mm diameter and a 1.47” AMOLED touchscreen, complemented by a black fluoroelastomer strap that matches the body well. The display is protected by sapphire glass, ensuring maximum durability. The crown button allows for scrolling and can also be pressed, while a second button serves as a power button when long-pressed. The watch also features sensors on the back for heart rate tracking and SpO2 monitoring.
The battery boasts a capacity of 500 mAh and is compatible with any Qi wireless charger, although Xiaomi provides its own magnetic charger that attaches firmly to the back of the watch. The design of the buckle may resemble Apple’s, but it fits perfectly, making it a great addition to the watch’s aesthetic.
The Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro have been completely redesigned and have a sleek, curved stem and bud, with one part of the device featuring a glossy finish and the other a matte finish. The case has a reflective top side and a dark bottom side, completing the premium design. The earbuds come with two additional pairs of rubber tips, but the medium option was sufficient in our initial tests. The case also supports wireless charging, ensuring that the earbuds are always ready to go.
